Twistzz after loss to Wildcard: "I'm convinced an admin broke my mouse prior to the game"
2024-11-12 09:30:00Team Liquid captain Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken complained about the admins of Perfect World Shanghai Major RMR 2024. He suspected that one of the workers had broken his mouse before the game against Wildcard. On X, he explained that he didn't want to stop the match when he discovered the issue.
GG Wildcard, we should have had that one. I'm convinced an admin broke my mouse prior to the game <...>
I had issues prior to the game. I took the mouse to another PC to set up drivers, and while the drivers were updating, they [admins] were unplugging the mice, etc. It didn't feel like it did [broke] before, but I was focused on the game, I didn't want to cause more tech issues.
He didn't specify what exactly was "broken." Team Liquid had a confident lead during the bo1, finishing the first half 9:3, and then lost the game 16:12. The Canadian was the worst player on the server, with a KD score of 7-18. Fans questioned his complaint, viewing it as an excuse over poor showing.
In the next tweet, Twistzz also pointed out that the food offered didn't accommodate vegetarians and that its descriptions were mismatched.
This is a personal issue as well that has been reported, but nothing changed. Almost zero vegetarian options given for player catering. They are mislabeling the food as well, so you can never tell until you search through the food. Day 3 of this is incredibly frustrating. Serves as an early heads up for the EU teams that will come here unless they fix it before.
The American RMR runs on LAN in China, the same as in other regions. The first round of Swiss is currently underway, and Team Liquid's future opponent has yet to be decided. They will play the next game today, November 12.
