S1mple's losing streak with Falcons is seven maps straight as they exit ESL Challenger Katowice

CS2 superstar player Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev has yet to win a map with Falcons. They lost to Eternal Fire and were eliminated from ESL Challenger Katowice 2024, played on LAN. The team has lost seven maps in a row across two events since the Ukrainian joined.

S1mple has been in a decent shape despite a year of inactivity. His rating is currently 1.12, which is not enough by his standards but still above average. There were also moments when he showed that his ceiling was still very high, like during the game against 3DMAX with 27 kills in regulation.

Richard Lewis: "Falcons will have an option after loan to buy s1mple permanently at a reduced buyout"

These results do not look promising for Falcons and fans who want to see s1mple at the Shanghai Major 2024. The next event for Falcons is the RMR, and the opposition at these has been tough during the last years. This also might be the last chance for tier-2 teams to sneak to a Major, as the RMRs will reportedly be cancelled next year.

ESL Challenger 2024 runs from October 25 to 27 on LAN in Katowice. Eight participants fight for a share of $100k prize pool. The winner will get a spot at ESL Pro League S21.
