S1mple almost ace-clutches one round after weak debut map for Falcons Video

Falcons superstar Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev won a 1v2 clutch with 4 kills during the round in his first match after the break. It happened in a game against 3DMAX at Thunderpick World Championship 2024.

On Nuke, the second map of the bo3, s1mple made three kills outside, and then had to defeat two remaining players. The Ukrainian chose a defensive position and spammed the defusers through the smoke. Even though Lucky's bullets found s1mple, it was too late, and he died from the bomb.

S1mple's first map of the bo3 was a disaster as he finished at the bottom of the scoreboard with 6 kills in total. The player went inactive almost exactly a year ago and played only a single match in February before this, also as a stand-in for Falcons. The AWPer revealed his comeback in late September.

Thunderpick World Championship 2024 group stage runs from October 21 to 24. The top-4 teams will play on LAN, scheduled to start on November 2 in Berlin. Falcons will play their next game later, time depends on outcome of their 3DMAX match. Check the bracket below to see when the games start.
