S1mple turns 27 years old shortly after comeback to CS2
2024-10-02 15:08:00CS superstar Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev turned 27 today, on October 27. The player received congratulations from NAVI, other players and fans from all over the world, in Portuguese, Turkish, Chinese, and other languages on X. The most common line was "Happy Birthday, GOAT!"
One of s1mple's supporters, analyst Duncan "Thorin" Shields reminded the fans his achievements and expressed faith in his ability to come back in previous shape. He also recalled that Oleksandr won his first significant trophy on this exact day, 8 years ago, at ESL One New York 2016. It was also his first MVP award.
S1mple has 21 MVP awards and was crowned as Player of the Year by HLTV three times. Esports Awards also named him the best player across multiple games twice. He won every big tournament possible in CS, from prestige events in Katowice and Cologne to a Major and Intel Grand Slam.
S1mple enters his 28th year as a player of Falcons on loan. He spent almost a full year inactive after he took a break in October 2023, and then struggled to find a roster because of his enormous buyout.
