"I believed that I, BB Team, and some other people you don't know about would get visas." Degster on BetBoom missing IEM Cologne 2024 Rumors

BetBoom Team had to withdraw from IEM Cologne 2024 due to visa issues. They we replaced by 3DMAX. Heroic's AWPer Abdul "degster" Gasanov revealed that they had the same problem, and the same European country didn't approve their papers in time. He shared it on Telegram.

I feel sorry for the guys from BB Team. We have the same problem with visas, we even applied to the same country. Although, I did it earlier, but I'm still waiting to receive the papers. By the way, this is the answer to all who said, that it was only my problem. I could have shared this earlier, but I believed and hoped that I, BB Team, and some other people you don't know about would get visas. Everyone had the same country of application.

Degster on missing BLAST Fall Groups: "I've been trying to get visa for more than 50 days"

The last part sounds like there were other CS2 pros in the same situation as degster and BB Team. It's unclear whether they got their papers or still await confirmation. The event starts on August 7 for play-in teams but the group stage kicks off on August 10. There are two Russian teams remaining, VP and Team Spirit, along with Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov from G2.

IEM Cologne will run until August 18 in Germany. 24 teams play for a share of the million-dollar prize pool. With degster and BetBoom Team out of the equation, there are no Russian players left in Play-in.
