Nafany on joel's ban: "It has been impossible to compete in tier-2 without facing 'suspicious' teams or players"
2024-08-05 13:52:00BetBoom Team captain Vladislav "nafany" Gorshkov shared his opinion on yesterday's ban of Joel "joel" Holmlund at a CCT tournament. He condemned cheaters and complained about the state of the tier-2 scene, where they constantly have to face "suspicious" teams. Nafany posted his text on Telegram.
People who played with me know that I rarely suspect anyone of unfair play. But over the past year, it has been simply impossible to compete on the tier-2 and tier-3 scene without facing "suspicious" teams/players in qualifiers.
I can't speak for everyone, but at least in my circle of pro players, the same nicknames/teams regularly pop up to play on HLTV. They go through open and closed qualifiers, literally ruining people's careers. I can't summarise all of the above, but it's just unfair. Anyone who does this is a dickhead. Don't be dickheads.
Earlier, organizers of CCT Season 2 Europe #7 banned joel from the event and issued a default loss to his team, BC.Game Esports. The organization suspended the player to investigate the matter. According to the Arkos anti-cheat team, there's zero chance that the ban was false positive. The Swedish player was also banned for match-fixing by ESIC last year. Find out more about it below.
