Perfecto: "At Rio Major security followed us everywhere. People wanted to cut us with machetes" Interview

Cloud9 CS2 player Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy recalled the toughest pressure he felt at a LAN tournament. The rifler picked IEM Rio Major 2022 because local fans were too aggressive; he even mentioned some of them "wanting to cut them with machetes." He shared it on a Russian YouTube channel.

Probably the biggest pressure I felt from fans was at IEM Rio Major 2022. Because the Brazilian fans are a little inadequate. They spat at us, threw pieces of paper, it was very weird. Electronic was spat on his shoulder, and security followed us everywhere. People wanted to cut us with machetes [laughs]. It was really that way, very hard pressure. In terms of emotions, PGL Major Stockholm 2021 was the best. When you win a clutch, and the entire 20k arena is shouting for you, it's incredible.

Zalutsky participated in Rio Major 2022 as part of NAVI. Then the team lost to FURIA in the quarterfinals and took 5th-8th place. Previously, Oleskandr "s1mple" Kostyliev reported some fan spitting on a NAVI player. The superstar showed the middle finger to the Brazilian fans in response. He probably felt the pressure, too, as he played one of the worst games in his career.

KSCERATO: "My family always said it was way better to stay home and play CS than go on street and learn bad things"
"It's so nice when you wreck them, humiliate and outplay them. I like this feeling".
