CS2 Premier world leaderboard 1st placed pro player loses rank after week of inactivity

Professional CS2 player from Fluxo Richard "chay" Seidy reported he lost his 1st placement in Premier Mode World Leaderboard after only a week of inactivity. According to his message on Twitter, to get back his rank, he needs to play one game.

American streamer and Mystic player Erik "fl0m" Flom confirmed the same thing happened to him, Both players went on FACEIT, so they didn't play CS2 matchmaking for a while.

Losing rank due to inactivity is a common thing in esports games. CS2 has a Glicko-based system, with the last match time included as part of the rank calculation formula. A week of inactivity looks like a bit harsh for fans in the comment section on Reddit. Some mentioned they saw other cases when a player became unranked slower.
