Insider: Cloud9 signed Boombl4 Rumors
2023-10-04 23:16:00Insider Vlad "harumi" Radvilovich reported that Cloud9 and Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov talks ended successfully. The news were reported on harumi's Telegram.
Radvilovich did not specify who will be replaced in C9 or when the change is going to happen. He earlier reported that Cloud9 was interested in the player, but there was nothing specific yet. According to insider John Knyazev, it is likely that C9 and 1WIN will have a swap, with Abai "Hobbit" Khasenov joining the latter.
Cloud9 also made a tweet saying "Last Christmas I gave you my heart" on the same day, and it's rather early for their social media guy to get into a Christmas mood. Most likely, that's a reference for New Year's video from Winstrike Team, where Boombl4 was singing this song.
Cloud9 failed to deliver on expectations after signing Denis "electronic" Sharipov and Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy. The team finished 5-8th at Gamers8 2023, 5-6th at IEM Cologne 2023, and had a disastrous EPL S18, where they couldn't get out of the group, finishing 21-28th.
