Boombl4 gets back to IGL role in 1WIN: "We need a breath of fresh air"
2023-05-06 08:38:00Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov revealed that he became the new captain of the 1WIN CS:GO team. He announced this on Telegram, stating that the change was made primarily to refresh their game. Previously, the team was led by Alexey "NickelBack" Trofimov, who kept his place in the team.
The bad results during my time with the team are everyone's responsibility. We have a slight reshuffle in the roster. This isn't related to NickelBack. I think he did his role well. The team needed a breath of fresh air, and the coaching staff decided to make these changes. Somewhere deep inside me, I'm glad, but I will be even happier when we grow up into a strong, disciplined lineup where every player or coach commits himself to the process.
1WIN previously failed to get through RMR and didn't qualify for Paris Major 2023. The team also finished 5th in a small CCT Central Europe Series #6. Boombl4 will debut as 1WIN's new IGL at BetBoom Playlist Freedom, playing against Spirit Academy on May 6.
