Valve started Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test, invite-only closed CS2 beta

Valve Corporation announced the launch of closed test of Counter-Strike 2 features. The only way to get in the beta is to receive an invite in the game.

The developers explained that participating players will see an invite when they launch the game. Whether one gets invited or not, depends on multiple factors, including (but not limited to) recent playtime on Valve official servers, trust factor, and Steam account standing.

The initial wave of invites is not the only players who will be able to test the new version. There will be more invites further down the line until the release of the full version, which is expected on summer 2023.

Current version of the test only offers Deathmatch and Unranked Competitive matchmaking on Dust2. But there will be more content added later. Workshop maps and community servers will be also available later.
