G2 are one match away from missing Rio Major after losing to 1WIN in RMR

G2 Esports lost two matches in a row after their 16:0 triumph over ECSTATIC in the RMR for IEM Rio 2022. The team lost to Cloud9 and 1WIN (both 13:16) and is facing elimination from the event.

The situation is the same for Fnatic, Astralis, and GamerLegion. All of them have a record of 1-2 in the swiss table of RMR A. That means some of these teams will likely meet each other in the next or the last round, which will lead to elimination.

The leaders of the group with a 2-0 record are NiP, FaZe Clan, Cloud9, and, surprisingly, Sprout. Two of those will earn Major spots today, October 6. At the moment of publication, FaZe vs Sprout match has already begun.

European RMRs are running from 4 to 9 October, with 32 attending teams split into two Swiss Groups. 16 of those will make it to Rio Major's various stages, while the other half will leave the tournament.
