Popular Russian streamer wanted to buy BenchedHeroes stack but didn't agree on terms with smooya2022-09-17 12:00:00
Buster said they didn't agree on a price with Owen "smooya" Butterfield. He didn't disclose the amount the British player wanted.
Buster previously played with Boombl4 on LAN. The streamer stack BEBRA didn't make it out of the group stage. Soon after that Leontiev announced that he wants to sign a CS:GO team. He is going to hold a tournament with contracts as the main prize.
In early September, Evgeniy "Aunkere" Karyat revealed that the squad was in talks with an unnamed British organization. It's unclear what org it was, but it was willing to pay as much as $5,000 salary each. And later he shared new information about talks with another, "world-scale" club.
The British org took a pause in negotiations. They were offering very good money per player, but the deal is being delayed or possibly canceled. I was also talking to another company. It's a large world-scale org. We'll soon know if they are willing to invest in us. If not, we will participate under the BenchedHeroes tag.
[What was the offer?] There were two levels: fewer salaries and conditions or more demands with a better reward. It was more than $5k per player in a month.
In August, BenchedHeroes went through the regional qualifiers and earned a slot in European RMR for IEM Rio. Other players on the team are Calyx, MICHU, and ex-NAVI.Junior's fear. Their first opponent in the tournament will be NAVI. Teams will face each other on October 4.
