CadiaN on his energy: "I have to consider going slow on Jabbi. As he said, we may seem crazy from the outside." Interview
2022-07-04 13:13:00Heroic players answered some questions during the IEM Cologne 2022 press conference. They spoke about new player Jakob "Jabbi" Nygaard, described why he fits the squad, while Casper "cadiaN" Moller shared the story how he ended up in a Formula 1 car.
What is different from Copenhagen Flames
There’s a lot more structure around the team with management and a mental coach. It's a new thing for me, and I think it’s really good. We only had a few talks, but I feel like it’s going to be good for me. So that’s probably the main thing.
CadiaN decided not to share the story behind the acquisition of Jabbi who replaced refrezh. Their coach Xizt just explained why they picked the young rifler.
Jabbi is a really huge talent, the biggest talent in Denmark. When we saw that he was available, we contacted Copenhagen Flames. The best quality in Jabbi that I’ve seen so far is probably his communication. He is very cocky when he plays. That’s very good for the team, and he is very confident as well. These are the two qualities that I see, when I think about Jabbi.
CadiaN on Formula 1
We had a trip with our sponsor Red Bull. We went to Austria to see some racing and experience some stuff. There was some footage recorded. People drove different cars. And I was lucky enough to be in a two-seat Formula 1 car and try that experience.
Most of the team is kinda interested in Formula 1. Some watch the races and qualifications more closely than others. I know that at different times, it would be on Richard’s PC, other times, it would be [on mine], other times, on the third. We are fascinated by it. Also, I think some of the guys maybe didn’t watch as much Formula 1 as before the Drive to Survive Netflix Series, which is incredibly well-created. The storylines are just so exciting, and to get a close-up view of the sport that is so fascinating, is interesting. <...>
And who’s not intrigued to see who’s the fastest guy in a car in the world?
CadiaN will try not to overwhelm their newbie with his energy
I have to consider if I have to go slowly on him. Because I‘ve been in the huddle with the same team for basically 18 months now. As Jabbi said, it may seem crazy from the outside. I definitely have some tricks up my sleeve that I’m gonna have to show Jabbi, but we gonna take it slowly. I think it’s gonna be fun to hug him and take him in the huddle. Maybe I will give him 5-10% extra hype. And I want to see him hyped.
The players also joked around about degster's harsh high-fives. The Russian player appeared to be a friend of Heroic as well as his former squad, Team Spirit. Stavn said he would prefer for his hand not to be "smashed" the way degster does it, although he likes the energy of the sniper.
