Refrezh is out of Heroic

Heroic announced that Ismail "refrezh" Ali left the active CS:GO roster. The team will keep the player under contract while he looks for a new organization.

Heroic explained the change by lack of results. In the official announcement the team mentions that the roster was capable of deep runs in big tournaments, but couldn't finish the job. Heroic didn't announce the replacement. According to rumors, it will be Jakob "Jabbi" Nygaard from Copenhagen Flames.

Since the beginning of this 5-man roster, we have always believed that the team were capable of great things. However, during the last year Heroic has been highly competitive in the major tournaments but has struggled to take that final last step. Therefore, despite all the qualities of refrezh, we have decided that it was time to try something new.

Refrezh joined the team in February 2021. A month later the roster got its first big trophy, winning ESL Pro League Season 13 finals against Gambit Esports. Ali's biggest moment in the team was the 1v5 clutch against Team Liquid on ESL Pro League Season 14, which led Heroic to overtime and win in the match.
