Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev appeared in the broadcast studio after qualifying for PGL CS:GO Major Antwerp 2022 playoffs. He commented on Ancient's stale state, controversial "m0NESY's smoke", and credited B1T for NAVI's success so far.

On Ancient having almost no reworks after release

On Ancient, we started as CT. When you start on CT, it's easy on Ancient. Because Valve doesn't know how to fix this map. They don't know anything. If you remember Vertigo, they've changed it five times in a few months. But they never change the A-site on Ancient. I mean, they did change a small detail, but overall, they don't care about this map. On A-site, it's very hard to plant a bomb, and you can wallbang through the smoke from CT-spawn and the donut.
