S1mple: "Why should I step up when there's B1T, the future MVP of the major" Interview
2022-05-16 11:33:00Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev appeared in the broadcast studio after qualifying for PGL CS:GO Major Antwerp 2022 playoffs. He commented on Ancient's stale state, controversial "m0NESY's smoke", and credited B1T for NAVI's success so far.
Did he see the Mirage smoke before?
No. I mean, maybe I saw it on Reddit, like, three months ago, but It's okay. If nobody uses it, it's okay, if everyone uses it, it's okay.

On Ancient having almost no reworks after release
On Ancient, we started as CT. When you start on CT, it's easy on Ancient. Because Valve doesn't know how to fix this map. They don't know anything. If you remember Vertigo, they've changed it five times in a few months. But they never change the A-site on Ancient. I mean, they did change a small detail, but overall, they don't care about this map. On A-site, it's very hard to plant a bomb, and you can wallbang through the smoke from CT-spawn and the donut.

B1T is the future MVP of Antwerp Major
We are just getting warmed up. We always get in better form during competition, especially at LAN. Hopefully, we are gonna play in the playoffs much better. I mean, why should I step up when there's B1T, the future MVP of the major. <...> He just needs to work on his game sense, aim, and... [laughs] I'm just kidding. Overall, his aim is insane, and he needs to work on his understanding of the game. That's where we help him. As you see, with every month, he understands more and more about CS.
NAVI and Spirit finished Legends Stage with a 3-0 record and were first to get to the playoffs. Three more teams will be known later today as the Swiss group enters its third day of competition.
