Valve fixed the M0NESY's window smoke bug

Valve got rid of the game-breaking smoke bug that G2's Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov used on several occasions. It was spotted in the games against Imperial Esports and NAVI at PGL Major Antwerp 2022 and during the preceding RMR.

The window smoke was creating a one-way window on Mirage, and at the same time, it was canceling any smoke thrown by the opponents. When using it, m0NESY could shoot the attackers through a narrow gap while remaining hidden in the smoke. He mentioned that it was reported to admins at the RMR, which was also run by PGL.

TO doubled down on their decision and allowed the smoke to be legally used. But due to the bug's game-breaking nature, the teams made a gentlemen's agreement to avoid it. Valve's fix happened less than a day after the controversy.

PGL Major Antwerp 2022 is taking place in Belgium from May 9-22. The world's best teams are fighting for a million-dollar prize pool. Team Spirit and NAVI already qualified for the playoffs, while Liquid and Bad News Eagles were sent packing.
