Virtus.pro denies YEKINDAR move to NAVI, says he has long-term contract

Virtus.pro (Outsiders) denied rumors of Marek "YEKINDAR" Galinskis's move to NAVI, although didn't reject the possibility of his departure after PGL Major Antwerp 2022. The club released its statement via the affiliated website Cybersport.ru.

Marek has a long-term contract with Virtus.pro. We have not received any transfer requests from the said club.

After the Major, when the transfer market traditionally ramps up, we will assess the situation and make decisions based on what will help the team to develop and achieve better results.

Jame: "I understand that not everyone would like to see our team on stage"

YEKINDAR's leave has been discussed for a long time. A move to NAVI, in particular, was first mentioned by Ukrainian caster ceh9. However, it wasn't his inside information but just a guess. He pointed at Denis "electronic" Sharipov as the one to be replaced.

At the Major, YEKINDAR himself said that it may be the last tournament for Outsiders. During the No Majors Club stream, Richard Lewis also mentioned that YEKINDAR may move to NAVI. He specified that it's just "a word on the street", and the following discussion was echoing the ceh9's guesses.

Virtus.pro GM: "My passport and our players statements proves that we have freedom of speech in Virtus.pro"

Despite these rumors, Outsiders are seemingly reaching their form in Antwerp. After a shaky start, they qualified for the Major's Legends Stage with a score of 3-1. In the deciding match against forZe, YEKINDAR's team lost its map pick but took the series 2:1.
